Do Not Be Victimized by Fraudulent Checks or Email Scams

Fraudulent Cashier's Checks with Patriot National Bank's name and logo have been circulating in several states. The routing number appearing along the bottom of the check is not the bank's number.

Additionally, emails entitled "Send Money" and purporting to be from the Republic of Benin are fraudulent. These emails ask you to fax your personal banking information to Patriot National Bank. Do not under any circumstances follow these directions. The number listed is not a legitimate bank number.

The law states that if you deposit a fraudulent check to your account and withdraw funds backed by this check you are liable for repayment of those funds even if you are the victim. If you are ever in doubt about the legitimacy of any monetary offer, please check with your Patriot Banker before taking any action.

Patriot National Bank is pleased to be the exclusive bank sponsor of the Fairfield County Interscholastic Athletic Conference (FCIAC). The FCIAC supports over 31,000 student athletes from 19 Fairfield County Schools through championship/tournament games, clinics and programs. They also help teach our students ethics and values by emphasizing goals and the importance of teamwork. To learn more about the FCIAC, visit their website at www.fciac.net.
